?A few interesting
bits about this outstanding, and beautifully balanced
Columbia Valley Chardonnay:
· It’s made by the only Washington winemaker to earn a “Wine
of the Year” award from the Wine Spectator;
· It’s natural yeast fermented (which contributes to the
minerality and unusual complexity here) – extremely rare for a Chardonnay.
· The name, “Borne of Fire,” comes from the fact that pretty
much the entire region, and these specific vineyards, were initially
cleared for planting by controlled fires.

Dunnuck 90 : “A great little Chardonnay brought up in
10% new French oak, with the balance in a mix of vessels, the 2018 Chardonnay
offers clean, crisp notes of white flowers, apple blossom, a touch of minerality,
medium body, and a clean finish.
The winery says:
This Chardonnay boasts terroir with pear and citrus flavors
alongside floral notes, as herbal element and a unique hint of tarragon.
